Random question

dear sir/madam,
i've been having an intermittent right sided leg pain which is very painful for 8 months.
the pain is severe with walking especially when the weight shifts to the right leg.And also i can't put my weighit on to my right leg and bend forward as it's very paiful. the pain subsides with diclofenac.the pain usually occurs behind the thigh. but also it occurs in my calf and at the knee joint. But doesn't radiate.
and i've been investigated in this regard with
1) x-rays of lumbar spine, right hip joint, which came as normal
2) MRI scan-lumbar spine also came as normal
3) but the MRI of the right hip joint revealed a suspected osteoid osteoma just below the greater trochanter.
4) then a CT scan was done to verify the probabal diagnosis.(osteoid osteoma) but it gave no clue of the osteoid osteoma, but it showed a healing non-displaced linear fracture of the femur.

1) could the pain be due to the fracture? or is it unlikely as i've
been having it for a long time as 8m?
2) or is it the osteoid osteoma causing this pain?
3) or can it be due to some other reason?
4) and what other options/investigations do i have to identify the
illness?
please be kind enough to help me with my problem.
thank you,
yours faithfully,
uthum
